Has anyone else tried BMS drivers and comps in MT cabs???

I loaded one of my MT122 cabs today with bms 12s310 and 4544 compression driver and the results were amazing. I was very impressed with the quality of the sound produced.

If anyone is planning to build these cabs or unhappy with their current drivers you should definately check these out.

Thanks again to Tony Wilkes for recomending fantastic drivers.Clap

Regards, Steve.

Just about, the MT needs a bit of EQ to get there when crossed at 1.3K . TBH The 4550 is the better option.

so whats the difference between the 4544 and the 4550 other than x over point?

i have the 4544's on some new celestion horns recommended by tony, but i've not fired them up to play around with x over points yet.

Just the X-over point. The 4550's needs a greater Xmax to allow use at a lower cut-off so gets a larger magnet assembly to keep the sensitivity up (more voice coil out of the gap).

On the MT's I would use 4550's and cross them as high as possible, around 1K would be perfect.
