would void v18-1000s sound okay loaded in 1850 folded horns ? also would building 1850s with void style bracing on them effect the perfomence of the horns sound. ?

the looney bin which was for the void driver was a slightly modified 1850 horn so it shouldnt be a problem a few guys on here have loaded 1850 horn with the void but i havent heard one only the looney bin. bracing in the mouth shouldnt make much difference unless you go mental and block the horn path.

The driver in looney bin is the v18-1000A and is not the commercial one..you can still buy looney bins from Void..

I'm sure i saw a thread somewhere. Some guy in Sweden or Finland that ordered some looney bins and didn't get them for months and Rog came on here to apologize to him because of some f*ck up with delivery times, i remember Rog saying that they will not be making anymore looney bins?
I could have just imagined all this but who knows!! |

^ I'm pretty sure it was Italy(!?), definately not Finland. Thing is, the Looney Bin was a PAP-product, not officially a Void one, and they were always made to order. (PAP held no stock, just like the infamous Porn Horns!)
The difference between the commercial V18 and the Looney-one was coil material (copper vs. A for aluminium), at least according to hearsay. |
