Have a bit more work to do on the look, but here's how the Infinite 8 v2 is coming along.

It looks nice, but looks a little lacking in the illuminations department, it might be tricky to see whats going on in the dark.
Whats the LED display for? Temp? Stu |

Sorry, Rog, have to concur with Cowfoot...Handles are a must-have for an amp of this size and weight...
what is the LED read-out for? because the gain controls are so small and recessed, some sort of illumination for them would help immensely |

The LED read out displays the current draw. Its an rms average reading and displays how many amps are being comsumed.
The amp weighs 38Kg and I don't agree it needs handles. I can lift one into a rack on my own and I only weigh a bit more than one of those amps. If I can do it anyone can. There's no handles on Crest CA 18, none on a 9001 and the ones on a VZ 5000 just rip ya hands off and get in the way.
I have no idea how much these will cost, I just design them.
If you want an idea of the current draw you can expect read this thread.
If you want to know whats inside the amp and general construction this is what I said in another thread.
"For those interested the new Infinite 8’s output power is now slightly higher than it was. This is due to a triple output stage and supply. The highest stage is running around 170 volts. The capacitor reservoir has also been enlarged. There are now 400,000 uf of capacitors, yes you read that right, that’s nearly half a million uf of caps in the v2 Infinite 8. The v2 also uses 6 bridge rectifiers and the highest power output transistors available. Another 1.5Kva has also been added with a larger transformer."
I would also add to this that this amp is not to be messed about with. In bridge mode I've measured 180 volts coming out into certain impedances. No bell wire with this baby I'm afraid
Rog.
