Amplifier Remote Controller?

I'm making a 12V rig for use on 30 april (Queensday over here). I've got 2 car amplfiers that both don't work after connection to the battery. My assumption is that it's because the remote control isn't connected (a single wire, so 3 connections total + / - / remote) , is that so? And if that's so, can I just connect it to the main power (+) or (-) to make it work?

saw something about this in another thread on here in the 12V Forum - think you need to connect the 'sense' wire to B+ which simulates a switched line from say a CD player on/off switch when installed in a vehicle.

Just connect "remote" to "+" (or connect a switch across them) ... and you should be good to go ...

May I recommend that you connect them with a small fuse or a small resistor of 0R01-100ohm. Doesn't really matter what the value is as long as it's small, and you have it lying around.

Allright, thanks for the quick answers. Just what I needed to know.
 
Will look for a resistor or fuse if I have any, free.
 
One other question popped up; one of the amplifiers I've got is this one:
 
http://shop.conrad.nl/auto/multimedia/versterkers/eindversterkers/372807.html (it's a Dutch site but all  the technical specs known are there). It's a four channel, non-cooled amplfier.
 
Could I bridge two channels (left/right) without causing problems? I would use the bridged channel for bass, the other two channels for left and right top. The bass cabinet is 8 ohm (so are the tops).
