Which drivers are you using in them now? Not many drivers are optimum in the 18" Superscooper, would think Void V18-1000, is one of the best, the unmodified Scooper. Modify the throat section, then things change..

How many more (or LESS!) dB's will that give you? dB's are far more important than power rating, never mind a dozen other parameters to take into account. And what about amps? Will you have to buy a new (bigger/more expensive) amp/s? The Void driver is optimum for those cabs. "Upgrade" at your own risk. |

To upgrade to drivers superior to the V18-1000 in Scoops, you will need another plan.
My Lev .44 Scoop, works with some of these drivers, but I'll never sell those. I do have another plan, I developed, and one prototype for it. Get in touch if interested.

Before considering changing drivers or cabs.
I would suggest replacing that CVR amp, with Void Infinite 8 MK2, or Admark AD60 amplifier. As I can guarantee that CVR is not powering those Void drivers properly, especially down to 40hz. Edited by levyte357- - 07 January 2026 at 2:39pm |

My 4 v1000 have Always been drived by a 5000vz
I would use the cvr Just on a 1800w Anyway i tested the cvr with Smaart and the freq response was pretty flat down tò 30hz

Even a Macrtotech MA5000VZ, on 32A, would not fully power, 4x 8 ohm Voids. A Void Infinite 8 MK2, on 32A, would power 2x of those Voids per channel, better than a Crest 9001, and can assure you, your CVR will not match that, despite what the specs say. Only amps, that will power 4x subs better than a Void Infinite 8 MK2, are Admark AD60, Powersoft K20, or Powersoft X4L, or pair of bridged QSC RMX 5050.
