I run the same (PD154 in HD15) and cross from 77hz to 154hz into the 12" section from an mt121 The biggest issue with HD15 is trying to play them too high. I feel if you are getting less than 1 octave from a box then its probably not suited to doing what you are asking of it. |

I would say, the plot I quoted, clearly shows the natural response, needs serious smoothing, to get a desirable result. If with purely cutting, not boosting, engineer can obtain average of 105db sensitivity, from single driver 15" cab, 80-200hz, that is a win win. But then, many would argue, 102db average sensitivity, from a 2x15 reflex, 70-280hz, with little or no smoothing, for ruler flat response, might be better.

Like horns in all bandwidths there are standing waves, especially in horns with folds. I'm not sure it's a purely f/response issue. You could try some wall damping especially inside the cab (if it opens...)
