What criteria's on the custom chassi's where demanded comparing to the sica 10k3pl ?
how is the efficency, xmax in comparison ? i suppose a demodulation ring is also present. Try to figure out what is better for a top (dual 10") for x-over > 100Hz , and Mid-High 0,8 - 1kHz Mid Bass like B&C 10NW76 or 18s 10nmb420 (just to show 2 different type of Midbass's with different low-end capabilitys and efficency's). Because a low volume, high tuned (~80hz) Enclosure suited with such a 4mm x-max driver does not have x-max reserve in case of eq'ing the low-end due to Full-Space (4pi) Environmet. So i question myself, is it even more desireable to sacrifice some db max-spl with the benefit of a more tighten low-end. Edited by aw-audio84 - 25 April 2025 at 12:51pm |
