my plan is to build 4 cabinets. i will use the void v18-1000 driver. what kind of amplifier would you recommend. how woud you connect them (parallel/serial) !?
i was thinking about the void infinite7, connecting 2 speakers in parallel on each side. is that enough power ? what you think? here are some specs: http://www.voidaudio.com/product_detail.asp?id=31 thanks for any opinions |

the more power you can afford from a quality amp the better. Inf 7/8 would be perfect.

I've heard 4 1850 horns with V18's powered by an Infinite 8. This ran at a contolled 4ohms and it sounded awesome. The Inf 8 is more ideal as the 7 would be put under abit of strain

I run 4 PD1850s from an Inf 8...plenty of power and headroom...
The Inf 8 is a superb bass/sub amp...not all that subtle or detailed for mids, but for running PD1850 horns it is superb! |

i doubt an amp with that sort of power is meant for anything other than sub/bass anyway! proper overkill on mid ect whatever your rig size!
