Surely once the "Arcadia show" is over ambisonics is out of the window anyway? As all the music has to be converted in to an ambisonics format anyway?

the minority of moaning c##ts in Pylle [and beyond].
Eavis should send em off on a cruise for a week, and then turn it up so loud it knocks their garden gnomes over LOL

he already gives free tickets to Pilton and Pylle folks, sends those who hate the festival off for a weeks holiday, posts security in peoples gardens while they are away, closes the roads to festival traffic, pays local shops and pubs loss of earnings to close during 'party days' [to limit loitering hippies and unwanted through-traffic], etc etc all to appease the licensing gods.

Doesn't work when stubborn commuting Londoners, with country retreats [bought well after the festival established], decide to complain 'just because'.

The license is available online [i read the 2010 license out of curiosity], and although a hard slog, you find out some really interesting things you wouldn't otherwise know, which ultimately does put a lot of the festival into perspective.

I read a glastonbury license years ago and got the impression that the police and counsel would always let the application go through, as they make loads of money from it.  They let it happen for many years when he completely failed to control numbers, i think it was his own decesion after Roskilde to put up the fence and stop over crowding, not the counsels.  I kind of think Eavis could play it harder and get more workable noise limits.

Blimey! Didn't know he went to those lengths. You'd have to be a proper sociopath to complain given all that!

a certain gentleman in Pylle is a massive pain in the arse, he moved in 1998 to his rather expensive listed farmhouse complex, and has since complained every year refusing to work with the festival, and is the main offsite noise pollution measurement point in regards to the pyramid stage. Without this one gentleman, things would be very very different!!

That and the old codger who lives by the dairy up on 'concrete road', is in the middle of the festival, by the main sewage plant, who has to have a 24hour 4man security detail outside his home to listen to his ranting and moaning, and give a vehicle escort on and off site whenever he wants to move to avoid any form of queing or 'inconvenience'.

oh well, if people want to play games, glasto have the budget to play along!!
