A Variation can be looked upon as proprietary. How the cabinet looks externally can lead many to disbelief. However, how the enclosure is designed internally, can indeed be proprietary.

Thanks. It's just a Rode VideoMicro on a Panasonic FZ300. I disabled the Panasonic's compressor function, so for that fact alone the recording will sound more natural.

Hifi quality at PA spl is nothing new. Rey audio was doing it in the 70s. give this a read

http://www.reyaudio.com/history-e.html#:~:text=In%201984%2C%20Shozo%20established%20Rey,engineers%20all%20around%20the%20world.

Its astounding low sound under 30 Hz, 130 dB at 30 m away shocked the people in the SR industry "

30Hz 130db @ 30 meters away is impressive enough but with hifi quality is amazing

Rose tinted memories of anecdotal experiences describing something without any fixed definition aren't something I would say applies to a modern requirement for "HiFi sound quality with PA SPL".

In the same fashion people (usually that were never there to experience it first hand or were whacked out of their gourd if they were) constantly go on about the GD's "Wall of Sound". By modern standards it would produce intolerable noise, not HiFi or even PA sound quality.

A friend sent me this last night the Dead & Company at the LA Sphere the sound quality has been resolved simply by using a giant video screen to show a picture of the legendary system along with a couple of discrete J hangs for the real audio

DMZ. "The bass was intense. Girls were literally running up to stand next to the subs"

You mean all the speakers and amps on stage aren't real?

Setting up the original Wall Of Sound system was too labour intensive and time-consuming to be practical for normal touring use, so it wasn't in use for long. But I would expect it to have outperformed any other system of its time.

It would have been louder...

By other metrics it probably wouldn't be that much of an improvement given the number of issues it would create vs the issues it solved

Sorry . I am not going to read through this. May have been pointed out to you. BUT. from skimming over the OP. Your problem starts with a line array of 15 " speakers. Point source all the way if you want a hifi sound from pa speakers. If for no other reason than hifi is almost always point source. I liked my TCS B&C loaded 3 way point speakers. Tcs2500 (horn loaded 8x2 compression driver and dual 15..... eaw kf series made some highly regarded point source 3 way cabs. Ev sx300 are very clean and natural sounding. ...if you like the sound of a movie theater those are typically jbl PS speakers or Qsc.... the theme is point source. RCF made an EAW inspired cabinet. That rcf spawned some diy plans. Don't remember the model perhaps a RCF 4pro 6001-a . A is the active version fairly sure there was a passive one also. EAW Avalon series. RubySkye in SanFranciscon has them through out the club. Great sounding line of , you guessed it point source speakers.
There are diy planes for the danley  synergy called unity.

Ya know music and movies are mixed on point source for point source playback
