Just wanted to double check before I make the purchase.
I have 2 PD1850's at the moment, looking to expand to 4 quite soon.
The FP10000Q runs 1350W @ 8 Ohms.
Can I run the 2 drivers from 2 channels initially then run 4 from 4 channels when I need to expand?
The PD's are rated at 800W A.E.S but I've heard they can easily handle way more??

Depending on application and enclosure but the 1850 can do lots more with a different choice of amp !

The drivers will be loaded in hog scoops, can you give a recommendation for a more suitable amp?

Hogs arent a good scoop. And agree that amp is weak. My friends are getting good results with the SAE. But if you're like me then torroidal power is what you want. Ca18, 9001, VZ5000, vz5002 etc. Just so happens i have some vz5000 & 5002 for sale very soon :)

For that application, I'd go for a pair of amps = 2 power supplies to provide the juice, unless you're particularly short of rack space.

Thanks for the advice everyone. Going for hogs because I want the versatility to play reggae but also hard dance music, not as weak as a super scooper but not as destructive as a 1850 horn. 2 amps sounds like a good idea, not sure I can afford to k10 budget is £500-£1500 haha. How many watts should I aim to give each driver then? 1500?

Have used the real 10,000 q quite a lot, powering 4 twin 18" reflex bins loaded with b&c tbx100 drivers !
I run 3x lab 10,000 q amps for the whole rig and share the bass cabs out between them , so one amp sees two bass cabs and the other two amps see a bass cab each !

The amp that has two bass cabs clips earlier than the other two !
Tells me the power supply hasn't got the minerals for proper sub !

Don't get me wrong still sounds sweet but compared to when I run the same rig off of the big boy 2ch lab 13,000 is it ? On sub , then the 10,000 q's on tops , it clearly doesn't get the 40hz and below happening the same !

Guess you would be fine if your bins high pass at 45hz ... Depends what your running !!

My 2c
Black to black , red to red , blue to bits ....
