Dispersion was designed to be 40deg -6dB at crossover point, each cab has 10deg trap angle either side, so 20deg total, the tops (oblate spheroids) are the only way to currently control dispersion with minimal narrowing of beamwidth so effectivly. So there is a slight overlap as ALL speakers have when arrayed whatever their initial dispersion, and made more prominent the farther away you are. Having said that, due to their very controlled dispersion characteristics, when walking around them at Shambala many people commented on how even and clear they sounded, there were no perceptable nulls, and they seemed to work perfectly.. although i still need to run the sweeps on them to clarify. |
