I really need to sit down n learn hornresp. I so wish I had a graph of theese guys with the reccomended. 18sound 18lf1400 in em. Now my stupider question is...

If the horn resonates down to 35hz when laired and lower when I build all 4 of em, won't the depth be stopped by my driver's 31hz resonant peak? I mean one IS supposed to cut it just above the RP right?

These are definitely not correct, I haven't a clue how to use HornResp properly and I couldn't be bothered to work out Atc/Vtc properly so I guessedConfused

darkmatter- where did you take the throat? or where do you reckon it should be? i've been thinking about building a pair of these, possibly modded for a v18 1000. might have a play about with this today.

i've calculated the rear chamber to be very very close to 120l, my mac is behaving like a twat though and i can't seem to download pdfs properly, can anyone tell me how much volume the driver takes up?

edit:  and s1=670

my 105 was a rough estimate based on 119.5 minus driver and handles volume.

start of the throat was guessed by eye, as was horn length, Vtc, AtcEmbarrassed at least it got the ball rolling hehe

i'm taking s1 to be the vertical distance on the first fold from the driver- there being no corner piece right of there to extend the horn and bring Vtc down. whaddya reckon?

having an mare calculating Vtc though... if you (or any other helpful person) can riddle me this it would get us there much quicker. my various sine/cosine rule manipulations have given me a headache and are producing results which don't match the plan...

anyways:

we have an irregular quadrilateral, with angles: A=78, B=99, C=159, D=24. side AB=154mm and AD=520mm.

what is the area of quadrilateral ABCD?

i'm off to make lunch

edit: correction to side ABEmbarrassed

according to the quite lovely crispy on the urban75 board my quadrilateral intersects itself, hence my issues.

i have put it in hands more capable than my own for now, there's a whole team beavering at this. i'll keep you posted. it should be there quite soon.
