thanks!! the 18's are probably more suited to valve power than the xb's and pd's i already run.

But I know my valve amps, and they are really what are special here, as well as the pre.

i'm used to Tubbys pre's (i owned one of Tubby's first) and have operated Barracuda for Tradition HiFi
so I can't wait to operate this one.

when I have this all running, I'll post a vid on youtube so you can see.

Music??????

Well, I play roots and revive, so this is going to sound beautiful on this set. The history of reggae,
and where reggae has come from is what i want this sound to represent.

I wish I could reach this dance. A bit too far from me!
So you must know Andrew, Derry and Dale from Tradition?

Yes, I know Andrew and have met Dale. I operated for Andrew in Nottingham when we played Gladdywax..... a dance which was talked about in London for quite a while afterwards. Redeye is a don operator. Wish Andrew had kept that system tho.

I thought for a moment that must be the preamp builder in that old movie.

But that is Errol, obviously someone else. He comes at 26:19

BTW really it was Andrew who started me back on the sound path
As he payed me in equipment. one piece was an unvalved 600watt beast, but at the time l had no money to pay for valves, so I swapped it for a 200watt Hiwatt bass head from Terry, an idren from Leicester. And that was the beginning of the next chapter.

One thing I know now, with experience, is that soundsystem has sought me out, not the other way round.
Freedom of choice, choice of freedom.
