Haha
![]() ![]() Here is what I have on order originally to create multiple parts MT122: - 4 Beyma 12MI100 http://profesional.beyma.com/pdf/12MI100E.pdf I saw somewhere there was an alternative for MT122 drivers. - 2 Compression P Audio BM-D750 Serie 2 http://www.p-audio.co.uk/pdf/BM-D750.pdf - 2 Horn P Audio PH-3223 http://www.p-audio.co.uk/pdf/PH-3223.pdf I had already choosen 90 x 55° dispersion because I planned to put the 2 MT122 medium section side to side in order to get a wider coverage. Now the SMT212 design seems to be a good compromize between MT122 and X12. Will read a bit about it before make a choice.

I got busy on many other stuffs last few weeks but, finally, I will go for the SMT 212 design.
I received the drivers and other components this week and wood is ordered. I got time to learn Sketchup and made a few drawing with it: ![]() Here is my cut sheet for, I hope, next week: ![]() When finished with the planned second pair of 186, the rig will look like this: ![]() This is all I have for the moment

lil comment here, stack the 186's sideways one on top - get the SMT212 up to height!
Going to be a potent rig once complete! Time to get a proper bass amplifier and speaker processor also.... |

Amp and processor are on the "To do/To buy" list but we need to use the rig a few times order to get the money back and continue
![]() They will be used Today and Tomorrow for 2 gigs

Hello All,
I will start to work on the tops next week. Waiting for this, here is a few pictures of the last use of the 186 this week-end. My son is working with another guy to create 2 events based on young talents. Everyone in these organisations (including the 8 DJs) are from 16 to 19 Years old. ![]() ![]() I just gave a hand half a day for the setup. ![]() ![]() The Amp Rack with a borrowed additional amp and a processor: ![]() Backstage: ![]() 186 Horns on side of a dual 18 sub using the same RCF drivers. So, with the processor, we worked 3 ways: Sub, horn, full range speakers. Crossover points was 80 and 150. ![]() DJ corner. The mixer we used (DJM 600) was not yet installed. ![]() ![]() Will include some pictures I took just before the opening in the next post.

And finally, some pictures of the light just before the opening of the first gig.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I think these young guys made a good job transforming this small venue in a single dance floor just for 2 nights.

that truss build really scares me...
whats stopping it falling backwards/forwards [and holding the pieces together!]... hopefully not just those cableties/straps onto the railings ![]() If you want to do this kind of thing, get some swivel clamps at least, so the thing can be clamped together properly - and actually resemble something load bearing. They are cheap and common - used by scaffolders, absolutely no excuse here. Leave the cable ties for.... *cable tieing* and use clamps for *clamping*! Also build a proper base for the thing [using truss baseplates] so it cannot tip forwards or backwards. try getting the midtops up higher next time too.... sorry to be harsh, i can see you put a lot of effort in, the lighting and set looks awesome, but the little things cannot be ignored! |
