Yes,i think you are right there APC.

This is my favourite of all these PA-based hifi rigs...this one is truly epic,wouldn't be out of place as a club system a few years back.

Back during the 1970's I had a pair of Gauss 15" in reflex boxes with a pair of Vitavox CN157 Horns, modified for the JBL 2440 Compression drivers fitted, with a passive XO to an 075 with each Horn.

These sat in my Living room/office for a couple of years driven active with a Crown DC500 and a DC 150 for 'high', plus a couple of the very early KT Graphics as well!

Sadly due to financial difficulties I had to sell it all and no pictures from then exist.
Anyway the pictures earlier in this thread have reminded me of that system.....

Still have real difficulty in repeating the memories of the sound from them, but am still trying to get back there.
Definitely a 'plenty of headroom thing'
