I tested them for a few hours today and they sound pretty good. I haven't heard many 21" scoops to compare them to, But they sound heavy and well controlled. I was impressed with the output from the box at low volumes. The bass roles of quite nice and does travel a bit. I am not sure what the box output will be when driven hard. When I got them made I should of got the mouth 3" bigger. I  played them without the grills and the cones really are well controlled. It seems that the driver chamber is almost perfect. I only played them at home so I really would like to here these driven hard. I used a 3K link's amp and a Charlie pre to run them. Any way thats my sceientific testing method..

you should test them against a good 18" full scoop and see where your scoops rank

Certainly is. Some of the best sounding horns I have ever heard..

^ wasnt that mr. hurleys work from a few, few years ago?

In this case, true, not that much happened for the last decades other than little design changes, slightly more powerful drivers etc. - would be quite interested in direct comparison.. ;)
