Nice, i saw the pics the other day. I am going to be building a pair in the next few weeks.
I think i am going to use biscuits as well, in my opinion they are a good FAST compromise between but joints and rebating. What compression horn are you using? I can get the ones on the plan, but they are around $75 us each. Im just looking around for tested alternatives before i spend that much. thanks |

Ok thanks interesting site. Does someone know what the xt8 will do for the sound of the x-tro.
And they are allmost ready. I have 8 punsh. and 4 xtro's then loaded with the recommend drivers. Does anyone know how many people you can cver with this set outdoors?

The original 8 inch wooden horn was always a weak spot in the XTRO cabinet.
The XT8s are much louder and sound very accurate and clear. They "complete" the xtro cabinet.

Lovely build there.
I'm about to start some new cabs and I dont want to do rebating so these busciut joints look like just the job especailly for pannel allignment and working as a third hand. Any chance you can go into more detail or do a little guide on how you did the biscuit cutting and the jig used. I'm looking at the pics but cant really see how you'd do it fast and accurately. |
