We will be showing the 100m Finals live on a widescreen tv. Don't miss this event!!!! Date Change Alert!!!! Event date has been moved to Sunday 5th August 2012. It is no longer on 29th July as previously advertised!! A slight change in lineup also   Featuring:- URBAN CONNECTION ft Trevor Sax, Moody Ranks & Senator 0 MUSICAL TOUCH ft Face & Crew JAH YOOTS FOUNDATION established 1974 SPARTACUS The Heavyweight Sound from Sth London 5pm till 11pm Location:- GOLDEN PALACE BANQUETING SUITE, Unit 39 Hastings wood Trading Estate, Harbet Road, London N18 3HT Nearest Train/Tube Station - Silver Street (BR), Walthamstow Central Local Buses - 34, 444 Entrance £5 (Ladies Free) Below is a map and directions to help you locate venue. The blue spot roughly marks where venue is located on map.  I suggest approaching from the Argon Rd end of Harbet Rd. Follow the road up passing car pound on your left and as the road starts to bend to the left past the first large trading estate, you should see on your right, signs for "Hasting Wood Trading Estate" and "Golden Palace" and "Eddies Cafe" Turn right into estate and go through barrier by pressing buzzer and asking for access to Golden Palace. Continue pass the first building on your right and then turn right and continue straight ahead. You will see "Eddie's Cafe" and "Golden Palace" straight in front of you...........you have arrived!!! THIS EDITION ALLOWS SOUNDS TO BRING 4 SUBS MAX. A sound can bring upto 4 sub boxes no bigger than a scoop with each sub cab comprising a max of 1 driver (2 drivers if reflex). Kick,upper bass or low mid cabs are also allowed but must play kick, high bass or high mid frequencies only!! All scoops will be classed as sub duty cabs only. THESE GUIDLINES ARE SET IN ORDER TO GIVE EACH SOUND ROUGHLY A LEVEL PLAYING FIELD. We
are aware there are gonna be different views on definitions of sub,
kick, driver amounts in cabs etc but we believe the cab size is more
important than the 1 driver or 2 per cab in sub boxes roughly the same
volume................BUT UNTIL PROVEN DIFFERENT AT ONE OF OUR EVENTS WE
WILL STICK TO THIS THEORY!!! EACH SOUND IS ENTITLED TO AT LEAST ONE 32amp CEEFORM CONNECTION REGARDLESS AT WHAT TIME THEY ARRIVE SoundSystem Sound-Off is a SoundCheck after all, but we would still like to see sounds entertaining the punters with music and vibes with their microphones as this is key to keeping these kind of events alive! |

Respects to Motion54 & crew, and all sounds/patrons who were at the event.
Of course, was there to primarily hear Spartacus, nice surprise to see Urban Sounds playing on Motion 54 set. Sounded cleaner than clean, round, just needs small tuning to get scoops really throwing. Fairly good turn out, plenty of big sound men there, excellent vibes watching Mens 100M final in intermission. Maximum Respect to the other 3 Sounds that represented this event.
Biggup Jah Yoot Foundation, Spartacus, and Musical Touch. Give thanks to all who attented even, with other events going inc athletics and Brixton splash etc A big thanks to Kutty for lending me his Powersoft K10 for the night. I just want to clear any confusion in relations to Urban Connection. Trevor Sax, Moody Ranks Senator Zero and Motion54 have come together as a Coalition to give birth to Urban Connection!! Each member has simply brought their best assets to the table.......... Trevor Sax - his selection and entertaining skills, Moody Ranks - his selection and entertaining skills, Senator Zero - his entertaining and engineering skills and Motion54 their Soundsystem!!!' Each member still have their own identities and this wont ever change but together we are Urban Connection Expect big tings from Urban Connection on the circuit, and every so often we might appear in future sound-offs!!
