Not boasting, they're of superscoopers.
Sort of in the middle of being built, ah...
Tobin, thought I had one where the scoop formers were more visible. You may be able to make it out on the above once you view them full size.
Edit:Made the pics into clickable thumbnails as they came up huge and I hate that.. Edited by jethrocker - 12 December 2006 at 5:27pm |

These are not build pics of Super Scoopers, but from an ebay builder
who say's these are better than scoopers and maybe ASS. Is this the Fane design? Seems deeper, wider, taller. Complete build has scoop of course but no brace. |

I only wish the Fane design were a lot better than scoopers. They're a whole lot easier to build, much less wood in them, far lighter, slightly narrower so more van space. Hang on, maybe they are better?

Yup, it is for the 15, and the fane design diag I linked to as well.. Just put it up to get some chat going, on the internals of another scoop for a change.
Yeah, but lots of builders are going for wider, deeper scoops for deeper bass. SuperScooper RX18 Height 1220 1113 Depth 760 880 Width 600 673 Edited by levyte357 - 13 December 2006 at 4:23am |

You notice on this design, the small triangular piece that's normally on the bottom panel in the rear chamber behind the driver magnet to reduce the throat area is not there.
I wonder if this affect this cab design ?

The triangular section on the scooper creates the throat, gives a slight compression chamber effect. I'm convinced this is part of the reason supers are som much more defined sounding than certain other scoops.
I didn't realise those ASS were so much deeper and wider. I have a feeling Rog tends to design with wastage in mind, the dimensions of the super mean little waste from each sheet.
Maybe someone can draw up/build/test a scoop with increased width/depth, and similarly precise internals to the supers. If Rogs driver bacomes available then we might be seeing a new superdooperscooper?!?

I like the sound of that 'superdooperscooper' Jethrocker
This more defined sound you mention, do you think that this is the sound the sound system guys who plays roots reggae music wants to hear, or you think they only want to hear & feel bass rumbling & shaking up venues ?
I've still never heard a super scooper loaded with a PD1850 or V-18 1000, I've only heard them with PD186s.
