'ello,
I'm about to make an XM15 and was wondering if someone knows what the angles are for the mitred cuts. I would assume 45 degrees? Thanks.

Yes, 45 degrees.

In the 90 degree plane there are two equal angles, just half it to get the individual value.

err no, not 45 degs, mark it out and measure it,

we covered this when i made a pair, i think the angle was not possible using a circular hand saw too.

ok if you have nice tools.

Kevin you are totally right, schoolboy error!

Just worked it out with trig, ones 39 and the other's 51.

You could adjust the cab to have 45deg angles if you wanted tho....  Wouldn't make a lot of difference other than the angle it sits at on the floor.

Also, you don't need to cut a 51deg angle, just cut a 25.5deg mitre on each of the pieces instead!
