Do you know of anywhere in the UK that sells them? Last time I looked I couldn't find any Yorkville dealers.

No 2 ohm drive so if it did bridge (you could try with a phase changer) it would only drive 8ohm in bridge anyway...
May use dual bridged modules to get that kinda power outta 30Kgs anyway!!!
(probably best to check with ameter BEFORE you try the pahse changer trick!!!)

Why would you want to bridge this ? It can do 2kwpc@ 4ohms, thats 2x 8ohm 18's per channel @ approx 1kw each. Job done.

Check out their service manual...
Don't seem like many manufactures supply this type of detailed info!!!

I emailed the uk distributor http://mirep.co.uk/to try and get a price and try a demo unit, but never got a reply.
I take Dave Cordingly's opinion highly, I used to do parties with him years ago, he was never happy with the bass until eyeballs were wobbling and people were struggling to breathe.

Hello guys , looks like I am about to burst yorkville bag, the Ap 6040 is no miracle amp , just like crest 8001, qsc mx3000a , or EV p3000 operating at 2 ohm (also the ap 6020).
That is, 1400 watts, - 1600 watts , depending on either 20 - 20 hz @ 0.05 thd rating or 1 khz @ 1% thd Rating. All the amps are of the same class weighing in at 67 pounds same topology , Only way AP6040 can achieve the claimed 2000 watts of clean power is by driving only one channel at 4 ohms. These 4 ohm limit amps just run out of breath ( headroom) . The ap 6040 may sound just like the RMX 5050 or worst @ 4 ohms. bink's amp shoot out results were accurate. 1400 watts a 20 hz . just like crest 8001 2 ohm specs and 1700 watts @ 1 khz just like qsc mx3000 . therefore at clean real world power the ap 6040 is more like 1700 watts both channels driven , ( 3400 watts amp) . Ap 4040 follows the similar situation. Is similar to crown 2400 , and crest ca 9 . 2000 watts total real world clean power. Also AP 3400 . AB Test sounded same .

Since start of this thread, many amps have become available in UK that would smoke the Yorkville, @ 4 ohms stereo. Was told years ago they are a nightmare to service/repair, lost interest there and then.
